Astrology – Retrogrades Radiation and Revolution
In my latest interview with I M Shaman, (aka Lou), he is convinced we are in for quite a ride. He says it is time to fasten your seat belt over the next few weeks and months ahead due to a particularly interesting pattern in the stars.
Olivia: “Lou, I know you have some major concerns about the near future. What is going on and what can we expect in the spring and summer?”
Lou: “The events of the last couple of weeks have been dramatic to say the least. From an astrological point of view, this may just be the opening act of a very intense and interesting time. Astrologers and psychics are focusing on the rising crescendo of world events in an attempt to find patterns which could be used to help forecast the direction of things to come. For those who may feel that this is pure speculation, I would only state that this method of looking for connections and patterns is absolutely no different that the “empirical method” used by other sciences to make their predictions.”
Olivia: “What can we expect from this next Mercury Retrograde?”
“As we are aware, the first Mercury Retrograde of 2011 occurs on March 30th. Mercury retrogrades are notorious for the havoc they can reek on communications and the systems that support them, relationships, and general intrinsic comprehension of events. This time, however, the Messenger’s rearward path is being superimposed on the events which have been, and are continuing to be, unfolding in both North Africa and Japan and, by extension, the rest of the world.”
“As noted before in a previous article which can be found at www.psychiccosmos.com/blog, Pluto is the planet of transformation and destruction of the old order. Traditionally, Pluto governs both the surface of our planet and governmental institutions. Since Pluto is now in the sign of the Sea Goat (Capricorn) the voice of the people rising up against governments all over the world is louder than anytime it has been since the Dark Lord’s last visit to Capricorn-1762-1778; not surprisingly, the start of the American Revolution (and the beginning of the end of the British Empire) came to fruition during that time.”
“This, by itself, would be potent enough on April 9, however, during the middle of the Mercury retrograde, Pluto also reverses course. This dynamic will lead to new extremes in destruction, transformation and rebuilding. Lots of “hidden truths” are liable to bubble to the surface leading to the realization that things are not as they seem. With the communications disruption of Mercury’s movement, one can only expect that there are going to be some highly explosive and unpredictable events in the near future.”
“Yet, even as the Mercury rights his course, Pluto will still be reversing course and, actually, will remain in retrograde through the second Mercury retrograde of the year on August 3. Clearly, the collapse of old conventions and the karmic “payback” brought by the Dark Planet, Plute, will have long reaching effects.”
Olivia: “What do you see unfolding with the recent tragic events in Japan?”
“Japan’s continued battle with the worsening radiation problem at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant has riveted the attention of the world on the whole issue of nuclear energy. And now, on March 28th, comes the announcement that there are three types of Plutonium found in the soil around the plant. Not surprisingly, Pluto is the planet that governs uranium and nuclear energy. The inherent instability brought on by Pluto’s arrival in Capricorn gives proof that the earth (and some of its most lethal elements) are impacted by upheaval and destruction/transformation.”
“With the looming effect of the Mercury retrograde, we should all be careful of mixed messages (to be charitable at best/outright deceptions at worst) concerning the actual condition of the plant and it’s impact both near term and in the future. Pluto’s retrograde on April 8 is going to magnify the struggle for control – on both the personal as well as global level with the status quo certainly in the throes of a “meltdown” of a different sort.”
“Radiation and revolutions are certainly going to be the focal point of the next few weeks but it is retrogrades – Mercury and Pluto – that are going to leave a powerful mark and remind us that we cannot continue to live amidst obstructions of the world as it is and in our own lives. Change will come, like the tide, and it is for us to look beyond the 24 hour news cycle to see how it will affect each one of us. So, in truth, one of those things is not like the others – and the effect of those retrogrades will be felt long after the radiation drops and the last drumbeats of revolutions have stilled.”
